Runaway Symphony headlining POAC event
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 6 years, 2 months AGO
Runaway Symphony is a true Northwest band based in Moscow with a lead born and raised in Bonners Ferry who wrote a popular tribute song to his hometown. You can’t help but like them, even before you hear their amazing melodies and soulful lyrics.
Their songs unfold like chapters in a novel, weaving an orchestral folk odyssey through rich harmonies, dynamic instrumentation, and vivid story-telling.
Pend Oreille Arts Council and Mattox Farm Productions are so very pleased to present two nights of incredible music.
On Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m. the show will be held at the Pearl Theater (7160 Ash Street, Bonners Ferry) and on Saturday, November 17, also at 7 p.m. the performance will be at the Heartwood Center (615 Oak Street, Sandpoint).
Doors open an hour before the performance and on Saturday evening there will be wine and beer as well as refreshments provided by Sandpoint Curry available for sale.
Runaway Symphony’s history has been built around their passion for story-telling by creating dynamic musical and visual experiences through provocative poetry and glassy texture and melody that bursts suddenly into musical mayhem.
A long listen to their unique sounds on YouTube will take you through a preview journey that POAC is certain will inspire you to attend one of these performances.
Band members include Bonners Ferry native Daniel Botkin, vocals rhythm electric guitar; Chris Lowe, backing vocals, lead electric guitar; Jason Oliveira, drums, percussion, backing vocals, and AJ Stevens, bass, backing vocals.
Tickets are $15 adults, $10 youth and a portion of each ticket goes to support POAC’s performing arts educational program, Ovations. Tickets for both performances are on sale at www.artinsandpoint.org and will be available at the box offices the evening of the performance. Bonners Ferry tickets are also available at Bonners Books or Mountain Mike’s. You can obtain Sandpoint tickets at Eve’s Leaves, Eichardt’s and 7B Bistro.
