Free Thanksgiving meals served throughout Flathead

The following free community dinners are being offered Thanksgiving Day and will feature both good food and fellowship.

- The Pocketstone Cafe in Bigfork will host its eighth annual Community Thanksgiving Day dinner. The dinner is free and those who cannot or would prefer not to celebrate Thanksgiving on their own. The menu includes soup, turkey, dressing, potatoes, yams, vegetable and dessert. All are welcome, but the cafe requests that those who would like to attend call for reservations as seating is limited.

For those who are able to contribute, a donation jar will be available. All contributions will be given to the Bigfork Food Pantry to kick off its Christmas season.

Three seatings on Thanksgiving Day will be at 11 a.m., 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. The Pocketstone Café is located at 444 Electric Ave. in Bigfork. Call 837-7223 for reservations.

- Sykes Diner in Kalispell has been offering a free Thanksgiving dinner for more than 40 years. Everyone is welcome. The intention is to provide a meal for those who either can’t get out or are in need of fellowship. The restaurant will offer a traditional dinner with all the fixings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For delivery, order in advance by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19. Sykes requests a maximum of two dinners per home for delivery. To-go orders should be picked up after 12:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

- Calvary Lutheran Church, located at 2200 U.S. 2 E., in Evergreen, is serving a dinner from 2 to 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day in a family environment. It’s a traditional meal of roast turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and more.

Everyone is welcome, while supplies last. For further information, call 752-4102.

- Holy Ground Cafellini Organic Coffee Shop and Teahouse and Project406.org ministry welcomes those who are homeless and the needy in the community to a Thanksgiving dinner from 4 to 10 p.m. Dine in or to-go orders will be available.

Live worship will take place and tote bags with personal hygiene items will be given out. The shop is located at 1645-B U.S. 93 S., in Kalispell.
