The Salish Kootenai College men’s basketball team fell to Montana State-Northern 113-54 at Joe McDonald Gym.

In spite of the loss, the Bison had two players that scored in double digits for the first game of the season.

Will Mesteth, a former Arlee High School player who was a member of back-to-back Montana High School Class C state basketball titles, scored 12 points, and Tisen Fryberg finished with a team-high 14 points.

Fryberg and Mesteth combined for 26 of the team’s combined 54 points. The Bison sank a total of four 3-point baskets in the loss.

MSU-NORTHERN hurt the Bison’s team by sinking a total of 16 3-point baskets during the contest, which resulted in them having a total of seven players score in double figures.

SK will play Carroll College on Nov. 23 and Montana Tech on Nov. 24, before taking a post-Thanksgiving break and resuming their play in the Spokane Falls College Tournament Nov. 30.
