The annual Night of Lights parade and Brunch with Santa is coming up next month. The Night of Lights parade is 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 down Nucleus Avenue.

This year’s theme is “A Christmas Celebration.” The event features a host of floats and other events, including music, crafts shows and other vendors.

Lineup for the floats begins at 5 p.m. with judging at 5:30 p.m. The craft shows start at 4 p.m. at the North Valley Community Center on Nucleus.

Folks are asked to please not have Santa Claus on their floats and to not throw candy from the float, but to hand it out if they wish. After the parade, enjoy live music and a bonfire at the Coop. The Columbians, the Stringlers and Sonifers will be caroling.

Registration forms are on the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce website. Cost to register is $10 or a donation to the Columbia Falls Food Bank.

The Columbia Falls Rotary Club’s Brunch with Santa is 9:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at Timber Creek Village assisted living center in Columbia Falls. This annual event raises funds for Rotary projects and gives kids a chance to visit with Santa and have a free picture taken. The brunch is $10 for adults and children are free with a paid adult.

There is also a silent auction with tons of useful gifts for the holidays.

Tickets are available at the door. If you wish to donate tickets for families, please contact Doug Davidson at 406-407-2445 or doug.in.glacier@gmail.com.
