Ronan Talks Turkey winners announced

Seventeen certificates were awarded through the community just before Thanksgiving.

The Leader hosted the annual Ronan Talks Turkey, while businesses donated turkeys and chamber bucks to be used in Ronan.

Winners were announced at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, in front of Glacier Bank in Ronan.

The Leader would like to thank all of the Ronan businesses that supported the event.

Those businesses include: Access Montana, Glacier Bank, Entertainer Theatre, Ronan Auto Sales, Valley Bank, John’s Fuel Farm, Westland Seed, Twice but Nice, Ronan Auto Parts NAPA, Montana Power Products, Stageline Pizza, Don Aadsen, Mountain West Cooperative, Ronan Harvest Foods, Montana Ace Hardware, Ronan True Value, and Les Schwab.

The community is thankful for their care during the holiday season.

Polson woman pleads not guilty to homicide

Danielle Jeanette Wood pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide during a video arraignment Tuesday before Lake County District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher at the Sanders County Courthouse in Thompson Falls. Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
