A one-vehicle, rollover accident on Montana 209 north of Bigfork resulted in a Bigfork woman being taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Sgt. Chan Barry, the 52-year-old female was driving west in a 1994 GMC Sonoma when she lost control on an icy patch while rounding a curve.
The vehicle rolled and hit an embankment on the right side before coming to rest on the highway. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Barry said the woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center by ALERT helicopter.
The Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene as well as the Montana Department of Transportation.
