POST FALLS — The St. Vincent de Paul Warming Center will be open tonight.

Future nights will be extended as extreme cold persists.

As the sub-28 degree temperatures continue, St Vincent’s shelters will always be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. To take people to the shelter, a van will be leaving Father Bill’s Kitchen at the St. Vincent de Paul campus in Coeur d'Alene at 6:30 p.m. and driving people back to Father Bill’s Kitchen the next morning.

Drop-ins are welcome anytime after 7 p.m.

The Post Falls shelter is at 202 W. Seventh St. behind the Post Falls St. Vincent de Paul Processing Center in the Kamps Apartment basement.

St. Vincent can shelter 40 people and will have available sleeping bags, blankets, gloves, stocking caps, coats, a full bathroom, warm food and drinks.

The nonprofit thanks those who have donated sleeping bags, blankets and food.

Because of the need, St. Vincent is accepting donations of warm food at both locations.

If you can donate, call 208-664-3095, ext. 306.
