State Hail Board Meeting Wednesday

Helena -- The Montana State Hail Board will meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the Missouri Room at the Heritage Inn in Great Falls. The agenda for the meeting includes a financial report, delinquencies, an actuarial report, reinsurance and a premium rate review.

The Montana State Hail Insurance program was created at the request of producers in 1917 to provide basic hail insurance coverage on any crop grown in Montana. The program is directed by a five-member board consisting of three producers appointed by the governor, the department director, and the state insurance commissioner.
