The Mineral Community Hospital Clinic is getting ready to open its doors on Jan. 2, 2019 in Superior. The clinic will be located in the same building as the Mineral Regional Health Center which shuttered its doors in 2015.

The primary care clinic will be see patients weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment and walk-ins are welcome. The clinic will also be open over the lunch hour. They will begin taking appointments on Dec. 10 by calling 406-822-4803.

The core values of the clinic mirror those in place with the Mineral Community Hospital (MCH), “and those include accessibility and customer service,” said MCH CEO, Steve McNeece.

Current hospital providers, Laurel Chambers PA-C, and Jane Whetzel, FNP will be on staff with Chambers working Monday and Wednesday and Whetzel every other Tuesday and Thursday. Ron Black, MD, who is new to the hospital, will work every other Tuesday. Fridays will be walk-ins all day with Brian Rick, PA and Mark Roman, PA, who was recently hired. Rick previously worked at the Partnership Health Clinic (PHC) and at the hospital.

“The schedule was created this way so patients know when to expect certain providers and they can schedule appointments with them,” said McNeece.

The clinic also posted a position for a full-time nurse. Brianna Kruger, who also worked for PHC, was hired as the clinic coordinator.

Partnership Health Clinic opened five years ago and will no longer provide primary care. Instead they are expanding their dental care and behavioral health program.

“We are so appreciative of the wonderful services provided by Partnership Health Center in Mineral County,” said McNeece in a previous statement.

“This collaborative effort will allow PHC to expand mental health and dental services, and MCH to expand to offer primary medical care. The leadership and staff from PHC have been outstanding to work with on this effort, and we are very excited for the expansion of mental, oral and primary care that will occur from our shared efforts and cooperation.”
