Holiday Tour of Homes locations announced
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 7 years, 9 months AGO
Handmade Christmas ornaments, historical decorations, glitter, glitz and family traditions combine to make this year’s Healing Gardens Holiday Tour of Homes one you won’t want to miss. Four locations have been chosen to be toured on Sunday, Dec. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 and available at Bonner General Health Information Desk, Eve’s Leaves, Sharon’s Hallmark and at each site.
You can start the tour from any of the homes and, if you’re so inclined, this year’s tour is actually just a 2.8-mile walk — not counting that you’d have to walk back to where you started.
The Koster home at 423 S. Euclid Ave. is a recently remodeled vintage home, circa 1919, with amazing landscaping that’s all set for the holidays. The Bonner County Museum, 611 S. Ella Ave., adds an historic element to their decorations while Talus Rock Retreat, 291 Syringa Heights Road, showcases its old world Tuscan-style architecture. The Dan and Donna Deshon home, 829 Syringa Heights Road, promises “holiday cheer,” making this one a definite must-see.
The proceeds from ticket sales provide the necessary funds to maintain and upgrade the Healing Gardens. Located next to the hospital, this respite garden is home to a variety of trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials which at all times of the year offer a place for anyone to go to reflect, meditate and relax.
Let’s help this non-profit purchase their much-needed supplies while getting into the holiday spirit at the warmth at these four fine venues. Look for yard signs at each location and please use the complimentary booties to protect the hosts’ floors.
