MOSES LAKE — Greenpoint Technologies announced last week that it has delivered its second customized 787-8 Dreamliner to “a confidential customer.”

The company, which has a modification facility at the Grant County International Airport, guts and customizes jetliners for corporate executives and heads of state.

“Greenpoint’s goal was to provide our client with a modern, inviting interior that showcases best-in-class services on board,” said company design director Annika Wicklund. “The interior offers functionality and adaptability while integrating the latest technology and luxuries experienced at the finest hotel.”

According to a Greenpoint news release, the company “partnered with the client to create a sophisticated executive cabin” and that the customized interior “caters to various passenger needs, with open living space and distinct, private rooms.” The plane has several private rooms, a master suite with a lounge, a gym, crew accommodations and a large service galley.

“Delivering this second VIP 787 is a monumental achievement for Greenpoint,” said Bret Neely, Executive Vice President. “Teamwork and dedication led to the delivery of this beautiful interior, and ultimately mastering the 787-8 completion process and its advanced technology. This expertise is already flowing to our third and fourth 787 completions.”

Greenpoint delivered its first customized 787 Dreamliner in the summer of 2016 to Kestrel Technologies, a Washington-based aviation management firm that serves “governments, corporations, airlines and high net worth families,” for an “undisclosed private client,” according to a Greenpoint news release from July 2018.

In February 2018, Greenpoint obtained a U.S. patent for a special Boeing 787 floor structure design system, allowing the company to better customize the 787’s interior, according to a February news release.

With its headquarters in Kirkland, Wash., Greenpoint Technology has manufacturing and modification facilities in Marysville and Moses Lake, Wash., as well Denton Texas. The company is owned by the Paris-based Safran Group, a French aerospace conglomerate that manufactures airplane components, rocket and satellite engines as well as missiles, guidance and targeting systems.
