Fourth-ranked Flathead spikes Missoula Big Sky

The Flathead Bravettes knocked off the visiting Missoula Big Sky Eagles 25-9, 19-25, 25-9, 25-10 on Tuesday in a Western AA volleyball match.

“This was a good setup for crosstown,” Flathead coach Nicole Fairclough said.

Fourth-ranked Flathead takes on Glacier in crosstown action Thursday at Glacier.

Flathead’s Sierra Wilhelm recorded 37 set assists and 12 digs, while Julia Burden had 16 kills and one service ace.

For Big Sky, Lizzie Clawson had eight kills and a service ace and Mia Sandou had 11 set assists and three blocks.

COLUMBIA FALLS – Libby defeated Columbia Falls 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 to stay undefeated and improve to 11-0 overall and 8-0 in Northwest A action. The Wildkats are 8-3 overall and 6-1 in conference.

“We did a lot of good things; we just made too many errors against the tough Libby team,” Columbia Falls coach Jolandie Brooks said. “Libby played great.”

Angellica Street lead Columbia Falls in digs. Ryley Kehr and Stella Bistodeau lead in kills.

For Libby, Alli Collins had 28 assists, and Jayden Winslow had nine kills, three blocks, and three service aces.

BIGFORK — The Stillwater Christian Cougars beat the Bigfork Valkryies in straight sets 25-16, 25-22, 25-18 to improve to 9-4 overall.

Bigfork drops to 6-5 overall.

Ramey Metzger recorded 17 assists and four service aces for Stillwater. Helen Hashley had eight kills and seven digs.

For Bigfork, Jaclyn Saunders had 12 digs and two service aces, while Aubrey Halverson had 15 assists.
