BONNERS FERRY — The Badger boys varsity soccer team played against Timberlake on Sept. 25, winning the match 2-1.

With improvements still to be made, coach Wayne Wilkerson said, “I think the boys have been playing very well recently.”

Today, Oct. 4, the Badgers host the season’s final home game against St. George’s School of Spokane.

“They have always been a competitive game for us over the years,” said Wilkerson of the Dragons.

On Oct. 1, the Badgers JV boys played a solid game against Upper Columbia Academy, winning the match 4-0. The goals were scored by Ben Tadlock, Wyatt Hart, Brady Hinthorn and Joshua Beazer.

“I thought our midfield controlled the game and sent great through balls to our forwards, who capitalized on their opportunities,” said coach Derek Oxford. “The back line also played well and kept a clean sheet.”

The 3A district tournament begins Monday, Oct. 8, at Sunrise Rotary Field in Rathdrum, with the schedule and seedings to be determined. Visit www.bfbadgers.com for scheduling information.
