'Bow Wow Bash' is Oct. 20 at Libby VFW

The 17th Annual Bow Wow Bash, the main fundraiser for Kootenai Pets for Life, will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at Libby VFW Post No. 1548.
At 5:30 p.m. attendees can browse auction items and place bids on silent auction items. Dinner will be catered by Paula Hensler and Patty Sergeant and served at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction will follow.
Admission is $15 for one or $25 for two. Tickets can be purchased from Kootenai Pets for Life volunteers or by calling 406-293-6801. Please purchase tickets by Oct. 15 so the caterers can plan accordingly.
The nonprofit, all-volunteer Kootenai Pets for Life is a no-kill shelter founded in 2001 to provide a home for stray and abandoned pets of the Libby/Troy area. In addition to providing shelter, the organization assists with spay and neuter services, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.
Since its inception, Kootenai Pets for Life has adopted out over 3,500 pets and helped spay or neuter over 8,000 pets and over 745 feral cats. Since microchipping was started in 2012, over 750 pets have been implanted for easy identification.
