MOSES LAKE — Retailer Ulta Beauty is coming to Moses Lake.

Bollingbrook, Ill.-based Ulta is breaking ground for a new retail outlet in Moses Lake, according to a spokesperson for the company.

The spokesperson also said no additional information on the coming outlet is available at this time, and the company would make a formal announcement soon.

In early September, the city of Moses Lake issued a building permit for construction on a nearly 38,000-square-foot parcel (about eight-tenths of an acre) immediately west of Payless Shoes, at 1030 N. Stratford Road.

The property is owned by Ephrata-based Clearwater Investment Properties, and the building permit says it is for “10,500 sq. ft. retail tenant space — Ulta” valued at roughly $1.2 million.

As of early August, Ulta had 1,124 retail outlets across the United States, including 30 in Washington. According to the company’s second quarter 2018 earnings report, released at the end of August, Ulta is set to open new 100 stores in the United States in 2018.
