WALLACE — Idaho State Police reports that on Oct. 6 at 6:21 a.m., Troopers responded to a semi truck crash on Interstate 90 at milepost 62, near Wallace.

Terry Rinkes, 56, of John Day, Ore., was traveling eastbound in a 2017 International Tractor, pulling a utility trailer when he fell asleep behind the wheel and struck the center barrier. The impact forced the center divider into the westbound lanes.

Coral Blue, 23, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was traveling westbound in a 2012 Chrysler 300 when she struck debris from the displaced divider. As a result of the crash, the fuel tank on the semi-truck was punctured causing diesel fuel to spill into the roadway. The spill required a cleanup that blocked traffic for an extended time.

Nobody was injured and all involved were wearing seatbelts.
