SAGLE — Students attending Idaho Virtual Academy, an online public school, may primarily interact with one another through their virtual classrooms, but also routinely gather face-to-face for community service projects and social outings.
Such is the case on Friday, Oct. 12, when IDVA will host events across the state as part of its “Harvest Events” for students. In the Northern Idaho area, families are invited to visit Bird Aviation Museum, 325 Bird Ranch Road. Check-in will be at 9:30 a.m. and the event will start at 10 a.m.
With an increasing number of Idaho families seeking educational settings that suit their kids’ individual needs, online school is a popular alternative to the traditional school setting. An accredited full-time online public school, IDVA provides students in kindergarten through 8th grade across the state with a personalized-learning experience using the K12 curriculum.
