Football roundup: Moses Lake can't maintain halftime lead against WV

YAKIMA — Moses Lake’s slide continued in a 27-7 loss at West Valley.
The Chiefs took a 7-6 lead into halftime behind an 8-yard touchdown pass from Dominic Signorelli to Lerenz Thomas. However, the Rams responded with 21 unanswered points over the final two quarters.
Reggie Harris totaled 140 yards and had two touchdowns on the ground.
Conversely, Moses Lake did not gain much on the ground. Rodney Fuchs led the group with 31 yards on eight carries. Dalenh Anderson was a bright spot offensively, catching six balls for 96 yards.
Selah 38, Ephrata 7
SELAH — Ephrata could not keep pace with Selah and lost 38-7.
Josh Benthem caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Trenton Kleyn for Ephrata’s only score.
Jake Weber led the Vikings with three rushing touchdowns.

BENTON CITY — Royal shut out Kiona-Benton 55-0 to extend its win streak to 48 games.
Sawyer Jenks passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another; Alonso Hernandez added two rushing touchdowns.
Royal held Kiona-Benton to 25 yards of offense during the shutout.
College Place 36, Wahluke 25
COLLEGE PLACE — Oscar Rodriguez’s three touchdowns weren’t enough as Wahluke fell to College Place 36-25.
Liberty 36, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 15
RITZVILLE — Liberty scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 36-15.
Austin Thompson had a 23-yard rushing touchdown for the Broncos.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 70, Pateros 6
PATEROS — After suffering its first loss of the season, Almira/Coulee-Hartline righted the ship by beating Pateros 70-6.
The Warriors led 42-0 after one quarter and 48-0 at halftime.
Hayden Loomis had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
