Area students named to SFCC honor roll
The spring 2018 honor roll list at Spokane Falls Community College includes more than 1,700 students. To receive honor roll status, students must earn a 3.0 grade point average or higher and be full-time (at least 12 credits).
Newport — Hunter Clark, Carissa Shaw, Bret Willner, Matthew Burkett, and Hadley Stratton.
SFCC serves more than 8,000 students per year on the Spokane and Pullman campuses and online, offering associate degrees for students transferring to four-year institutions, career and technical programs and applied baccalaureate degrees. Opened in 1967 as part of the Community Colleges of Spokane, SFCC boasts a transfer rate of more than 60 percent.
SCC announces spring honor roll
The spring 2018 honor roll list at Spokane Community College includes more than 2,100 students. To receive honor roll status, students must earn a 3.0 grade point average or higher and be full time (at least 12 credits).
Area students named to the list include: Sara Bartsoff of Priest River, Michelle Bell of Oldtown, Garry Blancher of Priest River, Jenifer Goode of Blanchard, Donald Kehoe of Priest River, Jesus Martinez of Priest River,
Vivian Reynolds of Priest River, Linda Snider of Oldtown, Priscilla Jensen of Oldtown, Brennan Leal of Priest River, and Francis Nurse of Priest River.
SCC is one of the largest community colleges in the state and serves more than 20,000 students every year. SCC has provided college transfer, career-technical and adult basic educational opportunities to hundreds of thousands of students in Eastern Washington since 1963. The main campus is located in Spokane, but there are centers in Colville, Newport, Republic, Ione and Inchelium.
Kindred named to DSU honors list
A total of 508 full-time and 183 part-time students qualified for the President’s Academic Honors list for the 2018 spring semester at Dakota State University in Madison, S.D.
Among the students who achieved this honor was Chelsea Kindred, Ponderay. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0 to qualify for the honors list.
