Col. Falls school officials warn residents about T-shirt scam

Columbia Falls High School on Wednesday issued a warning to area businesses about fraudulent phone calls soliciting businesses for donations to go toward purchasing T-shirts for the high school basketball or cheerleading teams.
Columbia Falls School District Superintendent Steve Bradshaw said the calls are not associated with the high school or the district.
The school district does not solicit funds over the phone, according to Bradshaw. Columbia Falls Athletic Director Troy Bowman said donation requests are typically done in person or through fundraising events.
“We don’t want people to get hit with this,” Bradshaw said. “If you’ve given out your credit card number, cancel it.”
