John Calvin 'JC' Ward, 44

John Calvin “JC” Ward, born Nov. 14, 1973, passed away on Oct. 10, 2018, at the age of 44.

He was the son of John B. Ward and Linda Marie (Atteberry) Ward, and the brother of Tanya Ann-Marie Ward. He attended Otis Orchards and East Farms Elementary grade schools, Mountain View Middle School and East Valley High School, graduating in 1992. He collected DVDs, CDs and books as a hobby. He enjoyed reading and listening to music of his generation and was a big fan of the Beatles. He was a movie buff, especially war movies and science fiction. JC loved talking about movies/TV, cars, music and his dog, Luna, and his cat, Gray C, whom he loved very much.

He became a fan of stockcar racing at the age of 14 when he was a pitman for his father. When he turned 18 he asked his father for his old car and spent the last 26 years with racing was his chief hobby. In 1999 he won the Hobby Class championship at Stateline Speedway at Stateline, Idaho.

He was very close to his sister and his mother and a friend and housemate of his father. He has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends at the race track as well as in his life who will miss him. He is now racing on the great race track in the sky.

A celebration of life for friends and family will be held in Spokane at a time to be announced.
