Kats survive close game against Whitefish

The Wildkat volleyball team dropped the first set to the Lady Bulldogs in Whitefish Thursday but came back to win in five, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 15-6.

Madysen Horner anchored both the offense and the defense for the Kats, recording 13 kills and 21 digs.

Ryley Kehr also had 13 kills for the Wildkats in the victory and also served three aces.

Hannah Schweikert had 39 of the Kats’ 41 assists in the contest while Savvy Ellis had 20 of the team’s 92 digs.

The Kats were back in action over the weekend at the Blocktober Classic tournament in Butte and Tuesday in Polson. Results were not available at press time.

The team will be in Missoula Thursday and Friday for the Missoula County Public Schools Invitational Tournament.
