Basin roundup: Moses Lake football shuts out Southridge, ends skid

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake returned to the win column against Southridge of the Mid Columbia Conference 33-0.
Logan Sperline passed for three touchdowns and rushed for a fourth.
Chayton Fisk caught Sperline’s third TD toss from 9 yards out and Mason Campos capped the shutout with a 5-yard rushing touchdown.
Moses Lake (1-3, 3-5) returns to Columbia Basin Big Nine play this Friday against Eastmont at Lions Field. The Wildcats sit atop the CBBN at 4-0 and are 7-1 overall.
Ephrata 62, East Valley 20
EPHRATA — Ephrata steamrolled East Valley 62-20 to set up a three-way tie at the top of the Central Washington Athletic Conference North.
The Tigers (3-1, 4-4) led 41-7 at halftime and never let up.
Trenton Kleyn complete 15-of-17 passes for 353 yards and six touchdowns. Mac Laird scored twice on the ground.
Ephrata, Othello and Ellensburg will meet Tuesday in Royal City for a Kansas City tiebreaker to decide the two playoff representatives from the North.
Pullman 35, Othello 14
PULLMAN — Othello could not slow down Pullman quarterback Konner Kinckade and lost 35-14.
Kinckade torched Othello’s (3-1, 4-4) defense to the tune of 408 passing yards and four passing touchdowns.
Isaiah Perez caught one touchdown and ran for another.
Royal 69, River View 0
ROYAL CITY — Royal set the state record for consecutive wins at 49, beating River View 69-0.
Sawyer Jenks threw three touchdown passes and Alonso Hernandez scored twice on the ground.
The Knights (5-0, 8-0) led 42-0 after the first quarter.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 86, Wellpinit 12
COULEE CITY — Almira/Coulee-Hartline led 54-0 at halftime and beat Wellpinit 86-12.
Hayden Loomis had rushing scores of 50 and 34 yards for the Warriors (5-1, 7-1).

COULEE CITY — Almira/Coulee-Hartline dispatched Republic in three quick sets 25-16, 25-7, 25-7.
Ashley Mitchell led the Warriors with six kills and seven aces; Gabi Isaak also added six kills.
