SANDPOINT — If there’s a chamber event happening, chances are Justin Dick is helping behind the scenes to sponsor it.

Greater Sandpoint Chamber

The owner and operator of Trinity at City Beach, Dick was recognized for his efforts with the chamber’s Volunteer of the Month Award for October.

Dick is an instrumental part of the success of the chamber, and many of other local organizations, chamber officials said in a press release.

“At nearly every event throughout town, the Trinity logo is present as some sort of sponsorship,” Kate McAlister, Greater Sandpoint president and CEO, said. “His generosity and care of our community is something to strive for.”

At the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, volunteers are essential to the success of the chamber. Without the hard work and dedication of its volunteers and sponsors, chamber officials said its events could not go on, adding that programs like its Volunteer of the Month award helps it thank those willing to go above and beyond to help chamber programs and events be successful.

Helping others and giving back to the community is part of who the restaurant and its staff are and an easy thing to do, Dick said.

“Our core mission is to do right by the community that has given so much to us,” he said. “We have worked with almost every major non-profit in the greater Sandpoint area with in-kind and cash donations, volunteerism, and hosting several community events.”

In 2018 alone, Trinity at City Beach has participated in the Dine Out for a Cause, Bonner Community Food Bank, Bonner County Historical Society Pub Crawl, Habitat For Humanity house warming, Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Leadership Sandpoint annual fundraiser, Sandpoint Music Conservatory annual fundraiser, Panhandle Alliance for Education teacher award ceremony, Pend Oreille Arts Council Art Walk, Arts & Crafts Fair and annual fundraiser, Sandpoint Waldorf School dessert auction, Lost in the 50s contributor, Idaho Conservation League Pend Oreille Bay Trail Run, Carousel of Smiles, Journey of Hope bicycle ride benefitting The Ability Experience, Book Trust, Shrine Club of Sandpoint huckleberry pancake breakfast, Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Scenic Half Marathon, Panhandle Alliance For Education poker run, Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Beerfest, Panhandle Animal Shelter Yappy Hour, Ride Idaho breakfast host, Long Bridge Swim sponsor, Rotary Club of Sandpoint’s Cycle Hard For Education, Rotary Club of Sandpoint’s WaCanID bicycle ride, Community Resource Center Souptember, Washington Elementary School Donor, Community Assistance League wine dinner, Sandpoint Film Festival, Bonner Community Food Bank Thanksgiving non-perishable food drive, Bonner General Hospital Annual Heart Ball fundraiser.

“Justin exemplifies true leadership in our community,” McAlister said. “Nonprofits and individuals know he and his staff can always be depended on.”
