BONNERS FERRY — Paradise Valley Fire Department, with mutual aid from South Boundary Fire and North Bench Fire, were called to a structure fire on Red Cloud Road on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 20.
South Boundary Fire Chief Tony Rohrwasser said they didn’t have much information when they headed to fire, as the 9-1-1 call was disconnected. When they arrived on scene, they found a manufactured home completely engulfed in flames.
Between the three fire departments they had plenty of people to fight the fire and get it under control, but it was too far along to save the structure.
“It went as well as it could considering it was fully involved,” said Rohrwasser. “There were enough people to take turns and get the fire knocked down.”
The fire was believed to be started in the vicinity of the woodstove, and although the house was a total loss, there were no injuries. Boundary Ambulance was also on scene.
