COEUR d’ALENE — The Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn is partnering with Laura Little Theatricals to put a fresh, new spin on "It’s a Wonderful Life" this holiday season.
"It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist — the story is staged as a live radio broadcast.
A six-member cast will portray numerous characters, and sound effects will be created through Foley artists. The performance will be done stage-reading style with a "live radio studio."
This beloved tale is about the life of George Bailey, a generous and well-meaning man who has become too downcast and tired to continue living. It will take help from a lovable angel to show George what life would be like if he wasn’t born for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of the holidays.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Laura Little on this great new holiday show at the Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn," said Coeur d’Alene Inn President J.J. Jaeger.
Performances run Nov. 27 through Dec. 19 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All shows start at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for general seating, $15 for students 12 and older. They can be purchased at The Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn, 506 W. Appleway Ave. in Coeur d’Alene, or by phone at 208-765-3200.
