The life of Joshua Matthew Cole.

Born in Iron River, Mich., on April 29, 1979 and lost his life on Oct. 12, 2018, on Rebel Ridge in Bonner County, Idaho. He was a son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and a dad.

Josh had a big glowing heart filled with immense love for all those he leaves behind. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Josh was honest and real, and he lived his life that way.

Josh would always be the first one of the day to say, “Happy Birthday, Mom!” or Happy Mothers Day, Mom!” He was unique and special — a legend to may, a hero to some. His feelings ran deep and his heart was soft and there were times he didn’t think he belonged here, in this world. He battled with ups and downs. At times he felt very lonely, even depressed, but when Josh smiled he could light up the whole room.

Josh wrote a lot of poetry to express himself, but some of his most beautiful and touching poems were about his daughters. He leaves behind five daughters, the most recent one just a month old. He always loved his girls and cried many tears for the ones he missed. Josh was very proud of his girls.

Josh knew God and I believe he is with Him. He is at peace now and in the arms of God. We will love him forever and miss him until we meet again. Joshua was the second born of eight children.

Josh was laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Deer Park, Wash., on Oct. 18.

Josh leaves behind his parents, Chris and Ann Forest; two brothers, Joseph Cole and Jonathan Forest; five sisters, Jessica Cole, Jacquie Small, Jeanae Cole, Julia Cole and Jamie Cole; grandparents Clark and Arlene Roan; aunts Cindy, Debbie, Brenda, Carla, Julie and Queta; great aunt Renee and great uncle Pete; an uncle, Carl; and many cousins. He leaves seven nieces, Jeneiva, Kayden, Emily, Allaina, Jaeda, Katie and Molly; nine nephews, Jackson, Jordan, Jaden, Jason, Alex, Michael, Connor, Christian and Cole.

His greatest loves are Tina Johnson and baby Alexis, Rhiannon, McKenna and Caitlin and “little” Allaya. He also leaves many more friends and family not mentioned who he deeply loved and held dear thoughts throughout his life. Josh has a huge extended family from back East, Michigan, Arizona, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. A special mention for his eastern family, his dad Harvey Bennet Jr.; sisters Rebecca, Leslie, Tashina; brothers Bruce and Harvey III; and many nieces and nephews.

Josh has many cousins in Michigan and a great-great aunt Carol in Washington, among other family members. He also has an uncle Rob and aunt Alice, who live in California, and a grandma Salley and Aunt Tammy in Idaho.

Also, a special mention to those who knew and loved Josh and passed before him: grandfather Bob Cole; great grandparents Roy and Eleanore Betker; grandfather Chuck Michaels; sister Natil; uncle Kenny Cole; grandmother Jean Bennett; cousin Frankie Olson and cousin Kevin Betker.
