Cats fall to Great Falls Central, 57-14

The Clark Fork Mountain Cats traveled to Great Falls to play Great Falls Central Mustangs in the first round of the Class C 8-man football state playoffs on Saturday. The Cats fell to Central, 57-14, during the afternoon game at Memorial Stadium.

The Mustangs improved their season record to 8-1 and the Cats finished the year 6-4. During game play, quarterback Bryan Mask completed 13 of this 34 passes for 157 yards and one score in the third quarter with a 34-yard run by Trey Green. His passes were twice intercepted.

Green had 115 rush yards and 24 attempts, and led in receiving with 52 yards on five catches.

The Mustangs started the game putting 14 points up in the both the first and second quarters. They put up another seven in the third and 22 in the fourth.

This finishes the Mountain Cats season, while the Mustangs face Scobey Spartans next Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
