The Post Falls Historical Society will host a spaghetti feed Nov. 10 to support the Post Falls Museum. The event will also feature a cakewalk, raffle and silent auction.
Established in 1988, the museum’s goal is to protect and preserve the heritage of the Post Falls area by sharing and recording its history. The museum is nonprofit and staffed entirely by volunteers.
Most of the artifacts in the museum, which were donated by locals, are not behind glass, so visitors can interact with them.
“We like to tell stories,” said Ted Fredekind, who volunteers as a docent for the museum. He moved to Post Falls in 1939 and lived through much of the history that visitors learn about during guided tours. “We try to be entertaining, and we hope people walk away having learned a little about the history of the town and with civic pride in our community.”
The spaghetti feed fundraiser will be Nov. 10 from 4-7 p.m. at Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, Joe Doellefeld Training Center, 5271 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls.
Tickets are available at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. Cash and checks are accepted.
Groups of eight people can reserve a table, which comes with a free bottle of wine. To reserve a table, call 208-262-9642 or email [email protected].
