North Summit hosting leadership broadcast
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 8 years AGO
Last year, North Summit Church was a local host for a simulcast broadcast of the Global Leadership Summit that was held live in Chicago. More than 125 people attended the event from various businesses, non-profits, schools, and churches in Sandpoint and our surrounding communities.
The event was well received; many people said they received relevant and useful information on leadership that they could use immediately to be a better leader at work, in their home and our community! They also enjoyed the opportunity to network and spend time with other local leaders in our community.
The success has prompted the church to host a similar event, Leadercast 2018.
On Friday, Oct. 26, North Summit Church will open its doors to provide a venue for local leaders in the community to get equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to be the best possible leaders. This year’s theme is “Lead Yourself,” the premise being that before one can lead others well, one must first learn how to lead themselves.
Rather than risk experiencing the technical difficulties, interruption in video feed, and frustrations that come with a live simulcast event in the area, the church has obtained the rights to host a replay showing of the actual live event. Church officials said the replay showing will be the exact same content and experience as the live event on May 4 in Atlanta, Ga.
The Sandpoint event will be held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the church. Doors open at 8 a.m. and a light breakfast, and morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.
The cost is $59 per person, and includes a bag lunch from Miller’s Country Store.
