Clark Fork swept the Victor Lady Pirates in volleyball action Thursday, Aug. 30 in Victor, as the Mountain Cats rolled to a 25-15, 25-17, 25-6 victory.

Madison Mask lead the team with 15 assists, eight service aces and five digs.

The Lady Cats then faced off against Valley Christian for an exciting home match on Saturday in Alberton. Clark Fork swooped in again and took the Lady Eagles out in five sets — 25-13, 18-25, 35-33, 25-8. That third game was truly a marathon.

Mask had all 18 of Clark Fork’s assists, plus nine of the team’s 35 kills. Emmah Baughman also had nine kills, and Sorren Reese had four of the teams 10 blocks. The team had 10 total blocks, and 15 aces.

THE ST. REGIS Lady Tigers are a young team this year, with seven freshman and only two returning seniors, Emma Hill and McKenzie Stortz. Also returning this season is sophomore Chloe Cielke, and juniors Kylee Thompson and Ashley Wilson. They took on Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat in a home match in St. Regis on Thursday, Aug. 30. Despite some good play by the Lady Tigers during the three games, Hot Springs took home the win in a three-set sweep. On Saturday, the Lady Tigers traveled to Charlo. Scores and details were not available by Mineral Independent press time.
