The Lincoln County DUI Task Force invites students to enter its Fall 2018 Impaired Driving Prevention Essay/Illustration Contest.

“Submit an essay or illustration presenting your best ideas on how to prevent people, family and friends from driving impaired,” states a news release. “Help us save lives on the road and practice safe driving.”

Lincoln County preschool, elementary, middle and high school students — including home-schooled and public and private school students — are eligible to enter.

Submission rules are as follows: Each submission must contain the student’s full name, grade, school and teacher’s name (home-schooled student entries must also include the parent’s name, email and phone number); essays can be at most two pages (illustrations are allowed); and middle and high school students’ essays must be typed.

Entries must be emailed to duitaskforce@libby.org by Sept. 21.

Three winners will be chosen in each category of elementary, middle and high school. Within each category, one student will be chosen from each of the Libby, Troy and Eureka areas.

Middle and high school winners will receive a $50 gift card, while elementary winners will win a new bicycle.

Participating preschool classes will receive a “snack party.”

For more information, email duitaskforce@libby.org.
