MOPS announces school year kickoff
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 7 years, 3 months AGO
Moms of Preschoolers (0-6 years old) please come join the group on Monday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m. at Newport City Park for food, gifts, and fun! Bring the kids. The Newport Library will be joining the MOPS crew with fun, and messy, activities for the kids.
MOPS is for any and all moms of preschoolers, from pregnancy up to 6 year olds; for moms in northeastern Washington and North Idaho. At our meet-ups we offer breakfast for the moms, friendships, encouragement, and a precious break from the kids. This year, homeschooling moms of preschoolers can bring the older kids with a special room available for them to work on their school work or projects during MOPS meet-ups. MOPS’ childcare workers are background checked for children’s safety and parents’ peace of mind.
MOPS meets every first and third Monday morning, 9-11 a.m. from Oct. 1-June 3 at Pine Ridge Community Church. 1428 W. First St., Newport.
MOPS is seeking mentor moms — moms with children older than preschool age and who have a heart for young moms — and childcare volunteers. Time involved: 2 hours, twice a month on Monday mornings. And donations are appreciated.
Newport MOPS is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of Pine Ridge Community Church.
