TRAFFIC: Attend open house

As public concern mounts over growing traffic problems in Coeur d’Alene, it’s nice to see the city of Coeur d’Alene and ignitecda hosting a Traffic Open House (today, 5-7 p.m. at the North Idaho College Student Union Building). Although the current traffic study is limited to impacts from the proposed large-scale development of the two old millsites on the Spokane River, it’s a good step toward dealing with the very real problem of our growing traffic issues.

Recent letters to the Coeur d’Alene Press and even Steve Cameron’s column have rightly expressed concern. I hope there will be a good public turnout for this community forum on traffic.
