The Plains Trotters are back on the courts with full steam ahead. Though they took a loss to the Charlo Lady Vikings on Friday night, the home crowd kept spurring them on through each set.
Head coach Jess Butcher said she isn’t worried about the couple of losses her team has seen so far this season.
”I look forward to the back half of the season, I think the girls will come back strong.” she said.
Butcher also said that there aren’t any big problems with the team on the court, rather the it’s a couple of little things that haven’t quite fell into place.
“The girls work hard in each practice, and it’s just little things that are the reasons we fall a little at the moment,” said Butcher.
She is not worried with variety team, to which most of the players have been with her for a few season already. Butcher said with a busy schedule this coming week for her team she is certain they can work out the kinks that are there.
“Some of the little things we haven’t yet nailed, we can only do in a competitive setting and I hope this week it all comes together for the team,” said Butcher.
The Trotters have three matches this coming week, Tuesday night at St. Regis, Thursday night back on the home court against Clark Fork, then they hit the road on Saturday to Victor for a double-match day against Victor and Darby.
