Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Peterson Road in Priest River for a burglary reported at 8:36 a.m.

ISP responded to a reported reckless driver on Highway 95 in the Sandpoint area at 8:47 a.m.

Report of a structure fire on E. Bronx Road at 9:07 a.m.

Report of a 911 hang-up on S. First Avenue at 9:43 a.m.

Deputies were assigned a theft call in the Oma Creek Drive area at 8:20 a.m.

Report of a reckless driver in the 26000 block Highway 41 in Blanchard at 9:57 a.m.

Report of a non-injury accident in Clark Fork in the area of E. Fourth and N. Stephen Street at 10:24 a.m.

A follow-up report was requested in the 461000 block of Highway 95 in Cocolalla at 1:27 p.m.

Sept. 7

Report of an alarm on Inspiration Way at 12:34 a.m.

A reckless driver was reported in the 700 block of Cocolalla Loop Road at 1 a.m.

Deputy conducted an K9 sniff during a traffic stop on Silver Birch Lane in Oldtown at 1:36 a.m.

SANDPOINT POLICE

Sept. 6

An officer checked on a male sleeping on a couch near the roadway in the 600 block of Alder Street at 6:45 a.m.; he was issued a verbal warning for camping inside city limits.

An officer assisted BGH personnel in the 500 block of N. Third Avenue at 10:13 a.m.

Unfounded report of unlawful entry in the 200 block of S. Florence Avenue at 10:41 a.m.

A 16-year-old Washington male was cited on a charge of reckless driving after nearly striking two pedestrians in the 100 block of N. First Avenue at 11:32 a.m.

A male was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of Larch Street at 11:53 a.m. after a shoplifting incident was reported.

An officer was unable to locate a reckless driver reported in the area of Highway 2 and S. Division Avenue at 11:46 a.m.

Report of a two-vehicle, minor-damage accident in the 600 block of N. Third Avenue at 12:14 p.m.

A long log turning into a business in the 1000 block of Baldy Mountain Road at 12:13 p.m. did not make the turn and struck a power pole, causing minor damage.

An officer checked on a female in the 600 block of Larch Street at 2:35 p.m. after a complaint of suspicious circumstances; she denied being impaired and was not driving.

Harassment was reported in the Pine Street area at 3 p.m.

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury crash on the on-ramp for Highway 95 at 3:56 p.m.

An officer advised at 6:23 p.m. that a vehicle had been keyed, but it was unknown where it happened.

Michael D. Dewitt, 42, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 700 block of Cedar Street at 6:47 p.m. on a Kootenai County warrant.

A sex offense was reported in the city at 7:33 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a possible drunken driver reported in the Jefferson Avenue area at 6:50 p.m.

An officer checked a residence in the 1400 block of W. Lake Street after a report of suspicious circumstances at 9:22 p.m.; the call was cleared as unfounded.

Sept. 7

An officer checked on a suspicious male reported in the 2100 block of Pine Street at 1:326 a.m.; he was identified and advised to stay out of the roadway.

An alarm was reported in the 1400 block of N. Division at 4:24 a.m.; the buildings were all secure.

Sept. 6

An officer took a report of harassment by telephone in the 300 block of Bonner Mall Way at 9:24 a.m.

An officer responded to a reported weapons offense in the 200 block of Cedar Avenue at 3:26 p.m.

An officer responded to a non-injury crash in the area of highways 95 and 200 at 3:41 p.m.

Michael L. Velacich, 28, of Sagle was cited in the area of Kootenai Cutoff and Vermeer Drive at 4:22 p.m. on a school bus passing violation.

An officer assisted Sandpoint Police in the 700 block of Cedar at 6:47 p.m.

An officer responded to an agency assist in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 7:14 p.m.

An officer responded to a 911 hang-up in the 100 block of McNearney Road at 8:39 p.m.
