BONNERS FERRY — Grade school and middle school girls gathered with the Coach Lisa Dirks and The Badgerettes for a performance at Friday’s football game during halftime.
“We had a great turnout!” said Dirks. “Each group went thru a warm up, played games and learned the routine in just three hours.”
The younger girls danced to Greased Lightning and the the older group rocked it out to Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’.
“The Badgerettes really enjoyed working with the younger girls, being leaders and sharing their love of music and dance,” said Dirks. “Having such a large group of younger girls was a bit challenging because of their energy and excitement.”
Dirks said that she wished more middle schoolers would have attended, but with so few they really got the feeling of a true game performance.
“Maybe next year more will attend,” said Dirks. “All worked very hard, dancers and Badgerettes. They had a blast performing in front of the fun football crowd.”
