Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 6 years, 4 months AGO
Randy Williams passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2018. Randy is at peace now, joining his mother, Barbara Spray, whom he cared for so deeply, until her passing; his father, Byron E. Williams; and brother, Greg Williams.
He was born in Alameda, Calif., where he had fond memories of their swimming pool and baseball games with kids and brothers in the cul de sac where he lived until around the age of 7. He and his family and stepdad, Burt Spray, moved to North Idaho. They moved into an old farmhouse in the middle of many acres, which was a big difference. Randy grew to love where he lived. He met his best friend Doug Roberts there and they had many adventures through their youth and to adulthood.
Randy had two beautiful daughters, Brandy Williams and Mandy Williams. Both girls smile when remembering their dad working all day and still having time to take them swimming and many memories of ice cream and dad teaching them to drive his old VW.
Randy and Burt built a log home from start to finish. Randy spent time in Moyie Springs area where he worked many years with cedar. Randy talked a lot about shooting with Dave Gay.
He met Debra (Plaster Carter) and they became a couple and after a few years together, he finally said yes. They were married in June 2007, bringing her daughter Jessica to his family.
They moved to La Pine, Ore., for a new adventure plus to be in the middle of his girls.
Randy led a very quiet life from that of his youth.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, Byron E. Williams; his mother, Barbara (Cochrane) Spray; his brother, Greg Williams; and stepdad, Burt Spray. Leaving his girls, Brandy Williams (Michael Mullen), Mandy Williams, (Robert Zamora), and Jessica Townsend (Tony Townsend); his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Dylan Zamora, and Casey and Alicia Townsend; brother, Mark Williams, Scott (Tammie), and Jerry (Pattie) Spray; sister, Wendy Gimple (Ed); and many nieces and nephews; and his wife, Debra.
May God rest his soul until we are together again.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Scott Spray’s home, 2272 Sunset Road, Careywood, Idaho.
