Warriors roll over Plains, get ready for Darby

The Arlee High School football team continues to showcase their high-octane offense in their 54-24 victories over their conference rival Plains High School Friday night at Arlee High School.

Warriors’ quarterback Lane Schall connected with Lane Johnson. Schall connected with Johnson on a 7-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, and a 32-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Arlee showcased their ability to the run the ball as well. Darshon Bolen scored on a 12-yard run, Colt Crawford had a 1-yard touchdown run, in the second quarter to give the 26-12 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Schall, again connected with Chase Gardner once in the third quarter and fourth quarter, before the Warriors’ run attack went to work in the fourth quarter, to wear down the opposition.

Crawford and Bolen capped the scoring for the Warriors and the game. Crawford scored on a 24-yard touchdown and Bolen finished the game with a 28-yard scamper, which gave the Warriors a 54-24 victory over Plains.

With the victory, the Warriors put themselves in prime position to compete for one of the remaining playoff spots. The conference is currently log-jammed with three conference teams that have a 3-1 record.

Arlee is currently tied with Clark Fork and Charlo, as three teams that currently have a 3-1 record, with the Vikings holding the tiebreaker over Arlee because of the head-to-head advantage.

The Warriors will host Darby at 7 p.m. Saturday at Arlee High School. If Arlee wins this game, they will remain in the conference race.
