Kalispell Public Schools sets 2019-20 calendar

Kalispell Public Schools has finalized a calendar for 2019-20 school year.

The first day of school will be Aug. 28 for grades first through sixth and ninth. Seventh- and eighth-graders and 10th- through 12th-graders start Aug. 29. The last day of school will be June 9, 2020.

There will be no school Nov. 27-29 for Thanksgiving break.

Winter break will be Dec. 23 through Jan. 3, 2020.

Students will have no school March 23, 2020, which kicks off spring break March 24-27.

Dates to remember:

Aug. 28 — First day of school, grades first through sixth and ninth

Aug. 29 — First day of school, grades seventh through eighth and 10th through 12th

Sept. 2 — No school, Labor Day

Sept. 25 — Early release, professional development

Oct. 17-18 — No school, professional development

Oct. 23 — Early release, professional development

Nov. 1 — No school for grades kindergarten through fifth only, parent-teacher conferences

Nov. 27 — No school

Nov. 28-29 — Thanksgiving break

Dec. 6 — Early release, speech and debate tournament

Dec. 23-Jan. 3 — Winter break

Jan. 20 — No school, professional development

Jan. 24 — Early release, professional development, end of first semester

Feb. 17 — No school, Presidents Day (snow makeup day if needed)

Feb. 19 — Early release, professional development

March 23 — No school

March 24-27 — Spring break

April 17 — No school, district music festival

May 20 — Early release, professional development

May 25 — No school, Memorial Day

June 9 — Last day of school

June 10-12 — Snow makeup days if needed
