Let the track & field season begin

Clark Fork and St. Regis track and field teams finally got the season going last week, with some impressive early marks.
The Clark Fork girls finished fourth in the varsity division with 64.5 points.
The Mountain Cat boys placed sixth in varsity with 48 points.
St. Regis placed eighth in the varsity girls’ division, scoring 26 points. The Tiger boys were 10th with 22.5 points.
In the men’s 100-meter dash, St. Regis’ Ian Farris placed second with a time 11.66. Clark Fork’s Jesse Shaske was seventh with 12.31.
In the women’s 100, Mountain Cat Hunter McGillivray placed fifth with 14.04, Kylie Plakke was seventh in 14.41, and Madison Mask placed 10th with 14.55.
In the men’s 200, Tiger Ian Farris tied for fourth with 24.98, and Adam Ball placed seventh in 25.75.
In the women’s 200, McGillivray placed third with 28.58 and Plakke was seventh with 29.67. Tiger Sunny Shoupe placed seventeenth with 33.7.
Mountain Cat Sorren Reese won the 400-meter with 1:07.56.
Jesse Shaske of Clark Fork won the boys’ 800-meter run with 2:11.29. Mountain Cat Sorren Reese won the girls’ 800 with a time of 2:43.07. Tiger Madison Kelly won the 1600 in 5:47.31.
Mountain Cat Wasin Wongwiwat placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 20.98. Emmah Baughman placed 10th in the 100 hurdles with 19.53.
Reese placed seventh in the girls’ 300 hurdles in 57.08.
Mountain Cat boys’ teams placed fourth and 11th in the 4x100 relay with 48.12 and 54.26. The Mountain Cat women placed third with 54.76.
The Clark Fork men placed fifth and 11th in the 4x400 relay with 4:04.3 and 4:38.54. The Mountain Cat women placed second with 4:41.82.
Mountain Cat Trey Green won the shot put with 45-03, and Jacob Lapinski placed eighth with 37-02.
Clark Fork’s Jack Mitchell placed third in discus with a throw of 115 feet, and Green placed eighth with 96 feet even.
Mountain Cat Caleb Cook placed 10th with 119-05 in the javelin. Teammate Sorren Reese placed second with 107-06 in the girls’ javelin.
Tiger Andrew Sanford tied for first in high jump with 5-10, and Mountain Cat Carson Callison tied for fifth with 5-06.
Mountain Cat Bryan Mask tied for fourth with 8-06 in the pole vault, and Wesley Buchanan placed eighth with 8-00.
Clark Fork’s Mask placed tied for fourth with 7-00 and Bailey Milender tied for sixth with 6-06 in pole vault. Tiger Emma Hill placed fourth with 15-02.5 in long jump.
Kelly placed fourth with 31-03 in the triple jump, and Emma Hill placed fifth with 30-09.
