WALLACE — The Shoshone County Community Concert Association will be hosting their final concert of spring this Sunday, when members of The Piatagorsky Foundation come to town.

The concert features masterworks performed by Piatigorsky Foundation artists Evan Drachman (cello) and Wan-Chi Su (piano).

Drachman, the founder and artistic director of the Piatagorsky Foundation, is renowned for his work in solo and chamber musical performances.

Su is an internationally acclaimed pianist who has extensively toured the eastern United States as a soloist and chamber musician.

"The Community Concert Association is pleased to conclude its 2018-19 concert season with a performance by renowned artists from the Piatigorsky Foundation,” said SCCCA board member Janet Feiler. “We hope the public will join us for this one-hour free concert, meet the artists during the reception that follows, and hear about the great lineup of concerts planned for the 2019-20 season."

For more than 28 years, The Piatigorsky Foundation’s commitment to artistic excellence and public outreach has entertained avid concert goers and curious first-timers.

It is this combination of complementary access, flamboyant performances and human warmth that makes Piatigorsky Foundation concerts so appealing to diverse audiences.

This year the Piatigorsky Foundation returns to Idaho as it continues its aim to reach hundreds of people and increase awareness and appreciation of classical music in communities throughout the state.

The Piatagorsky Foundation concert is free to the public and is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Wallace.
