At an arraignment hearing Aug. 8, Annie Morigeau pleaded not guilty to charges of felony theft and felony forgery related to her volunteer work as treasurer for the St. Ignatius Fire Department.
Original charging documents had recommended a $50,000 bond, but on July 30, Judge Deborah Kim Christopher accepted a motion to reduce bail to an own recognizance release. An omnibus hearing has been set for Sept. 19 at 9 a.m., with a jury trial date set for Nov. 12.
In other court filings, Judge Christopher accepted a plea agreement, finding Tracy Vanness guilty of one count of felony theft occurring when he was employed at Carquest in Ronan, and agreeing to dismiss a felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs. Terms of the agreement include probation and sentence deferral of six years, paying court costs and fees, and paying restitution to be determined by Probation and Parole.
