'Loving' liberals showing hate to fellow residents

We moved to Sandpoint from Hayden in 2015 and I have been appalled at what I’ve seen:

- A mayor who extended an invitation via Facebook only to his supporters to an upcoming City Council meeting involving refugees.

- A mayor who presented an insulting resolution: Whereas: Thoughts of Nazi Germany, Japanese internment camps, McCarthyism and the Klu Klux Klan come to mind.

- A woman on his page who urged his supporters to come early so his non-supporters would be locked out in the cold, and it was cold.

- A man who wrote, “conservatives are feces-eating monkeys that eat their own feces.” I checked for two weeks to see if the comment had been removed and any type of ground rules established. None.

- The owner of a local restaurant’s anti-Trump post.

- The old owner of a shop downtown with her derogatory sign regarding our president on the sidewalk, which is public domain subject to strict guidelines, and no matter how many people requested she move the sign she refused.

- The man who wrote me, “gun-toting conservative white Christians are what’s wrong with the place.”

I find it laughable that these same individuals are convinced they could accept people of a whole different culture with loving open arms when this is the way they treat members of their community with different views.

So, whatever you do keep up hate from the “white supremacists, Nazis, racist and KKK” is the problem in Sandpoint and keep displaying your “love lives here” signs. They’re good for a laugh.
