FLOWERS: A grave injustice

On Nov. 18, I lost my wonderful husband to cancer. On Nov. 26, we had a memorial service for him. At that service, his family placed a beautiful large standing spray of red roses and white carnations, which we requested be put on his grave after internment.
On Nov. 27, we decided to drive to the cemetery and visit the grave site, and much to our shock and dismay, discovered some “low life” had removed all the flowers from their base and left behind the base and loose leaf remnants and garbage on the grave site. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing.
I certainly hope whoever received those flowers enjoyed them and maybe wonder where such a beautiful bouquet came from. Why would somebody do this? What pleasure could they receive from doing such a dastardly deed? I hope they have a problem sleeping, but it is doubtful. Anyone who stoops that low doesn’t have a conscience.
