- The 3Cs (Cancer and Community Charities) Coeur d’Aleers will present its 27th annual Christmas concert, "Jingle Joy," in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Friday. The free concert will ring in the season with a mix of genres, four-part harmonies, jazzy rhythms and new arrangements of old favorites. A sing-a-long will be included. Donations will be accepted for the philanthropic efforts of the 3Cs. Trinity Lutheran is at 812 N. Fifth St., Coeur d’Alene.
- The Coeur d’Alene City Council will decide tonight exactly how much power City Hall really has … literally. City staff will ask the council to approve a resolution to purchase a $48,878 back-up generator. During an August power outage, the building’s generator that powered the server room — and, consequentially, communications for first responders — failed.
- Coeur d’Alene’s first Histsoric Preservation Commission meeting since being stamped its official seal of approval has been scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9. While an agenda has not been established yet — as most city commission and committee agendas are not required to post agendas until the days leading up to the meeting — the commission’s duties and vision are already listed on the city’s website.
