It was a good year for local high school volleyball players and their fans.
Five players, including a pair of 6-foot standouts were recently selected to the 2019 Montana Class C All-state team while five other local stars made the 14C all-conference squad.
The Charlo Vikings placed two players, senior outside hitter Bella Hawk and junior outside hitter/designated server Carlee Fryberger on the all-state team. They were joined by 6-1 Plains middle blocker Kylee Atmiller and Hot Springs 6-footer McKennzie Cannon. Both Atmiller and Cannon are seniors.
Rounding out the all-state picks was Noxon Red Devil Jenna Freeman, also a senior. All five were also named to the 14C All-conference first team.
Nominees to the all-conference second team include Plains senior Emma Morgan, Hot Springs promising sophomore Katelyn Christensen, Charlo senior Kira McPhil, Hot Springs senior Sage Jackson and Plains senior Dakota Butcher.
