Winter prep sports season begins today for Flathead Valley teams

Winter prep sports begin today with Flathead and Glacier wrestling visiting Big Sky.
Flathead’s matches start at 6:30 p.m. while Glacier starts at 7.
Columbia Falls wrestling heads south to Dillon for the Dillon Mixer at 5 p.m.
Polson, Libby, Eureka, Bigfork, Columbia Falls and Whitefish at the Jay Owen Invitational wrestling tournament.
Eureka will be competing at the Mission Quad. Matches start at 5 p.m.
The Class A girls and boys basketball season starts with the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament. Schools in attendance will be Polson, Columbia Falls, Libby and Whitefish.
Eureka boys basketball opens the season by hosting Deer Lodge.
On Saturday, wrestling continues with Flathead and Glacier at the Helena Duals and the second day of the Owen Invitational in Polson.
Swimming begins with the Kalispell Invite at the Summit. Flathead, Glacier, Whitefish, Bigfork and Columbia Falls will be in attendance.
The Frenchtown basketball tournament wraps up action on its final day Saturday.
At 5 p.m., the Eureka girls basketball team hosts Deer Lodge.
