The Kootenai Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity is looking for a family in need of housing.

The local organization is putting out the call for applicants ahead of building a new home in the summer of 2021. Those interested must be in need of decent housing, able to pay a no-interest mortgage and willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity.

If selected, the applicants also must undergo eight hours of financial literacy training and homebuyer education.

The group is holding two orientation sessions for interested applicants. The first is scheduled for 7 p.m., Jan. 14 at the Christ Lutheran Church at 200 W. Larch St. in Libby. The second will be held at 7 p.m., Jan. 21 at the United Methodist Church at 713 3rd St. in Troy.

Topics addressed at the orientation will include information about the program, the selection process and requirements of expectations of the selected applicants. The forum also allows potential applicants to answer questions and receive assistance in filling out the application form.
