21 points from Kiebert not enough for Lady Cats

COEUR d’ALENE — Despite getting 21 points and nine rebounds from senior Ellie Kiebert, the Lady Cats were unable to take down Coeur d’Alene JV on Monday night as they fell 62-48.
This is the most points Clark Fork has scored so far this season and head coach Jordan Adams was encouraged by what she saw from her team.
“It is just going to keep getting better,” Adams wrote in a text. “Some of our strongest shooters are not able to get the ball for open looks as often as we would like but once again we have a pretty young team and a variety of skill levels. When we figure out how to move the ball safely and effectively, it will be awesome basketball.”
Kiebert scored 14 of her points in the second half. Sophomore Katelyn Matteson added 11 points and freshman Emily Myers tallied 9 points and eight rebounds.
Clark Fork (0-3) will look to pickup its first win of the season at home 5:30 p.m. Thursday against Priest River.
